Moving Questions, Answered Honestly

Straightforward answers to what customers in Tupelo ask most before, during, and after their move.
Do I need to be present during the entire move?

We recommend being available at the start and end of the job — for walkthrough and final placement — but you don’t need to supervise every step. Our crews are trained to work independently and will check in with you if any decisions need to be made along the way.

How do you protect floors, walls, and doorframes during a move?

We use floor runners, corner guards, and door frame padding on every job. Furniture is wrapped in moving blankets and shrink wrap before it ever leaves the room. Protecting your property is part of the process, not an add-on.

Can I pack my own boxes or do you have to pack everything?

You’re welcome to pack as much as you’d like yourself. We can handle all of it, part of it, or none of it — depending on what works best for you. Just let your coordinator know in advance so we can plan the crew and time accordingly.

What should I do with items I don't want to move?

Set them aside in a clearly marked area before the crew arrives and let us know which items to skip. If you need help with donation drop-offs or junk removal before moving day, ask us — we may be able to point you in the right direction.

How do you handle moves in apartment buildings with strict access rules?

We contact building management ahead of time when needed, coordinate elevator reservations, and make sure the crew arrives with the right equipment for tight spaces. Just share any building-specific requirements when you book and we’ll plan around them.

Can I add or remove items from my move after booking?

Yes. Inventory can change and we understand that. Contact us as soon as possible before moving day so we can adjust the crew size, truck, or estimated time. Last-minute additions on the day of the move can be accommodated when possible.

Do you move single items or just full households?

We move single items all the time — a sofa, a treadmill, a dining table, a safe. If you need something moved that requires more than one person and a vehicle, we’re the right call. No job is too small for a professional crew.

What happens if my new place isn't ready when the movers arrive?

If there’s a delay on your end, contact us as early as possible. Depending on availability, we can hold the truck, adjust the schedule, or arrange temporary storage to bridge the gap. We handle these situations regularly and will work with you on a solution.

How do you load the truck to keep my items safe during transport?

Heavy items go on the floor first, secured against the truck walls. Lighter boxes and fragile items are stacked on top and braced to prevent shifting. Everything is wrapped and tied down before the truck moves. We treat loading as a skill, not just a task.

Is tipping expected for the moving crew?

Tipping is never required but always appreciated if the crew did a great job. If you want to show your appreciation, cash tips given directly to the movers at the end of the job are the most straightforward way to do it.

What if my move takes longer than the original estimate?

Hourly jobs are billed for actual time worked. If the move is running long, your crew lead will let you know so there are no surprises. We always aim to finish within the estimated window — if delays occur due to our side, we’ll discuss it transparently.

Can you move items into or out of a storage unit?

Yes. We regularly load and unload storage units as part of a move or as a standalone job. If you need items picked up from one unit and delivered to a new location, that’s a straightforward service we can handle with the right crew and truck size.

Do you work on weekends and holidays?

Yes. We offer weekend availability throughout the year and can accommodate most holiday dates depending on scheduling. Weekend slots book faster than weekdays, so we recommend reaching out early if you have a specific date in mind.
